    •  The hotel Astir Beach, ranked in the 4 stars official category, was built in 1987 and renovated in 2008. The hotel is composed of one main building and an annex with a total of 164 rooms.

    • Astir Beach is located, on the north coast of the wonderful Island of Crete (GEO CODE: 35,20,00.00 N / 25,17,53.00 E), in the area of Gouves, by the beach, only 18 km east of Iraklio city, and close to the bustling resorts of Hersonissos (10 km away) and Malia (16 km away). The hotel is separated from the beach only by a low traffic beach road. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there are several bars, taverns, supermarkets and shops.

    • The hotel is only 15 km away from Iraklio International Airport ‘Nikos Kazantzakis’ and 17 km away from Iraklio port (with daily connection to Athens port and regular connection to the Islands of Rhodes and Santorini). There is a local bus link with East, West and South Crete every 30 minutes, accessible by the bus stop on the main road, only 500 m away from the hotel.  

    • The hotel consists of one main building (three floors) and an annex (two floors) with a total of 164 rooms. The main building comprises the reception area with elevators and ramps, lounge with Wi Fi internet connection, satellite TV, pool table and card tables, the main restaurant, an indoor bar, an internet corner and a small conference room for 45 persons. The grounds of the hotel boast a freshwater swimming pool with toddler’s section, sun-terrace and attractive lawn with sun-beds and umbrellas, a volleyball court, a mini golf area, a pool bar, a snack bar and a mini market. 

    • All rooms are smartly furnished with private bathroom (bath tab or shower), direct-dial telephone, internet connection, private air-conditioning, mini fridge, TV with local and satellite programs, hair-dryer, safety box and balcony or terrace, most of them with sea or side-sea view. Electricity voltage is 220 Volt.

    • is open from 18:00 p.m. until 02:00 a.m. Next to the pool with a view to the sea, you can enjoy music and drinking. Our barman will serve all kinds of drinks. Try our Cretan snaps “raki “ and the traditional Greek aperitif ouzo.

    • An open air, fresh water swimming pool (with a separate section for children) in front of the beach is available for use from 08:00 a.m. to 19:00 p.m. On the swimming pool terrace, you can find sun beds und umbrellas (free of charge).  

    • The coast in front of the hotel has a clean sandy beach with sun-beds and umbrellas. 

    • Volleyball and badminton court, mini golf, table tennis and pool table at the hotel and all water sports available at the beach next to the hotel. The hotel offers daytime and evening animation program (starting in the middle of May until the end of September) with music and folklore shows.  

    • Children’s animation program, toddler’s pool and playground.
